“We had a really lovely day out with Lam, and got very lucky with good weather. Our only little note for other travellers to consider, is that other villagers are extremely persistent in selling their wares, not only in the market place/ towns/ road side but will actually follow you on long portions of the trail. We had someone follow us for several hours, walking along side who after we’d said “no thanks to” many times we were told by other villagers she’d only come with us to try and sell, and would now be walking back many hours to find other people to do it all again.”

“I was lucky enough to be in a group of five - small enough to be able to have some sort of connection with everyone. The weather was not great for trekking as it rained all day but our guide - I think her name was Mama Mao - was very entertaining and gave loads of information about the flora and fauna. We had a great lunch at the halfway point.”
