★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 27 reviews · 5 hours · from $106Our pick

Review of Etna South’s 5-hour winter trek, with cable car, snow gear, crater views, guide insight, costs, and practical tips.

“We had a really really great time. Our guide Massimo told us all about the Etna and we were able to ask any question we had. He led us to different craters and told us about their history. We had a beautiful view at 2870m and we able to see part of Sicily from high up. On the way down our guide showed us the Valley of Ox. It was really gorgeous to see. We recommend everyone to book this tour. We felt very safe with our guide Massimo and we were able to see the wilder and more beautiful part of the Etna.”

2.Kiruna: Snowshoe Trek with Aurora Hunt and Warm Beverage

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 20 reviews · 3 hours · from $143

Review of Kiruna’s 3-hour snowshoe and Northern Lights trek, with warm gear, fire-side drinks, sandwich, guide tips, price, and practical advice.

“Beautiful walk through forest up a hill with views along the way. No northern lights but that’s just bad luck. BUT - plan on longer than 3 hrs. Incredibly disorganized upfront. Took first snowshoe step at 20:15. Added time on end so still a nice snowshoe. Just arrived back later - trail was straight up (as far as you want) and back again. Climb not mentioned in description so it surprised people. Again, beautiful trail but more exercise than some anticipated.”

6.Montreux: Snowshoe Trek with Fondue and Wine

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 3 reviews · 3.5 hours · from $213

Snowshoe above Montreux through forests and sunny ridges, then share fondue, local wine, and hot tea with Lake Geneva views.

“Vu que la météo n’était pas parfaite, Raoul nous a donné l’option d’un tour plutôt „sauvage“ dans la forêt. C’était comme dans un compte de fée 🌲✨🧙‍♀️ et il nous a fait la fondue dans une toute petite cabane enneigée au milieu de la forêt. Il était un tour guide génial et extrêmement gentil et on le recommande à toute le monde.”
